It seems that spring has finally sprung and we’re on the fast track to summer. Unless you’re one of the poor soles who suffers at the mercy of hay fever, this spring is already shaping up to be blooming lovely! What’s more, world sleep day has rolled back around and as you can imagine – we’re pretty excited about that around here.
That’s why we thought we’d give you some great spring themed sleep tips so that you’ll be well and truly rested and ready for those longer days and balmy evenings.
So without further a do, here’s a list of our five favourite plants to put in your bedroom to help you get better sleep…
Aloe Vera emits oxygen at night, helping you to combat insomnia and improve the overall quality of your sleep. It reproduces easily and doesn’t even need much sunlight or watering.
Lavender is well-known to induce sleep and reduce anxiety. Its smell slows down your heart rate, reducing anxiety levels.
The smell of Jasmine has been shown to improve the quality of sleep and increase alertness and productivity. Studies have shown that it reduces anxiety levels which leads to a higher quality of sleep.
English Ivy can be beneficial for those with breathing problems and asthma. Studies have shown that English Ivy can reduce air molds by 94% in 12 hours.
The snake plant emits oxygen in the night while you’re asleep, taking carbon dioxide from the air inside your house. It also filters nasty household toxins from the air.
